HTML Widgets in Quarto

I remember a very early post, back around 2019, where I used the leaflet library in R (R Core Team 2023). That earlier post would not render in Quarto as it was. This is a new version using Quarto-style notations. Let’s see if this works.

This is using the leaflet library with additional “Ersi.WorldImagery” overlay. This particular area of New Mexico covers approximately from Pie Town in the top end, the Mangas Mountains in the lower left to the Datil Mountains in the upper right, and San Augustin Plains on lower right. What’s really interesting in the upper part of the image, are several straight dark lines which are fissures where lava rose through the crust in past times to create walls, appearing when the surrounding earth was eroded.
