Starting Moringa Seeds

Here is the first effort getting the moringa oleifera seeds to grow. It is September, so things are a bit late for planting. But, it is a way to determine if anything will grow. Perhaps we can keep them growing until Spring. Then we can replant them outside.

It should take about two weeks to sprout, according to what we have determined from reading. Since they were planted in these little Styrofoam cups 13 September, they should show some signs of activity around the 27th. We have asked God’s Blessing over them, that the conditions would be right for this trial run. So, we have high hopes they will grow beautifully.

If you look closely at the picture, you’ll notice two cups on the right side that we are using to experiment with different soil mixes, one with sand, the other half sand and half potting mix. We will see what happens.
