Well, we have modified our new stock trailer to make it more useful for horses or mules. How? We needed some rings inside to tie horses or mules to keep them from roaming around freely.

We added a ring on each side at the front. The height was selected so the horse or mule can see where he (or she) is tied, so he won’t be as likely to be confused by what’s is holding him.

This is the first attempt. It was less than symmetrical, but it will do the job.

My second attempt came out a bit more even and certainly looks better, not made by a drunken monkey…

Also added were three rings on the front upper bar. These can be used for all kinds of things, primarily for mounting hay nets to keep the horses or mules busy while being trailered to their next exciting adventure location. A little bit of gray equipment primer, and the welding is not so noticeable. Not exactly silver, but pretty close. Perhaps later we will acquire some silver paint to pretty it up.
