This is a short review of the book: “The Avatar,” by Jonathan Cahn, which just came out within the past few weeks. It is not a complete review as I only wish to cover a few aspects of the book. The title emphasizes the fact an avatar is a human being possessed by a god/goddess/demon and willingly serve as the embodiment/manifestation of that god/goddess/demon. One observation I’ve found after reading several of his books, The Mystery of the Shemitah, The Dragon’s Prophecy, The Avatar, is he can be a bit wordy and repetitive as he endeavors to convey his meanings.

However, the mysteries he uncovers in this book are so striking that I felt compelled to depict what he is saying, and how it impacts our modern times, both the events of the very recent past and right now, today. I chose to indicate the parallels he uncovers in the form of a diagram, clearly showing how the template plays out, from ancient times to today’s world.

It primarily addresses the fact that as Israel and America, both founded on God, removed God from their countries, lives and cultures, a vacuum was created, which has been filled by those same ancient gods of evil those distant people worshiped, Baal, Ishtar and Molech.

As Jesus said in Matthew 12:43-45:

  • When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.
  • Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.
  • Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.

Baal caused Israel to turn away from God, Ishtar paganized Israel through twisted sexuality and prostitution, Molech required the sacrifice of children to himself.

A great portion of the book covers America and how it follows the same template that happened in ancient times with Israel, primarily with Ahab, the king of Israel at that time. But it also covers his wife, Jezebel, her daughter Athaliah. And it makes parallels with his son, Joram, and the king of Judah, Jehoram.

Parallels with people of ancient and modern times.

What’s really striking are the parallels uncovered with American political figures of our modern times and Ancient Israel, and how the evils and precepts of those ancient gods are embodied by the figures mentioned in the book, and how those same figures of today champion the evils of the ancient gods.

It also uncovers the mysteries of Jehu’s role in combating and destroying the evils of those gods and their avatar kings/queens in Ancient Israel, but more importantly, sheds light on President Trump’s role as the modern Jehu to overcome the equivalent evils of modern times (removing God from our culture, the evil of abortion/murdering children, Wokeism/twisted sexuality) by purging from our government and culture that wickedness. Jonathan Cahn mentions the significance of Donald John Trump’s birthday, 14 June, 1946 (15 Sivan), and the Parashah reading of the Torah (week 36) for that Sabbath Saturday, Numbers 8:1 - 12:16, with the parallel of the trumpet. Jonathan Cahn mentions other verses, but the one I find most appropriate is Numbers 10:9:

  • When you go to wage war in your Land against an enemy who oppresses you, you shall sound short blasts of the trumpets, and you shall be recalled before Hashem, your God, and you shall be saved from your foes.1

Another portion of the book covers Kamela Devi Harris, born 20 October, 1964, and the physical, cultural and spiritual ties with India’s goddess, Ishtar, from her family ties to the actual names she is given. A good portion of that covers India’s gods and goddesses, too extensive and convoluted to mention here.

The bottom line: In these last days, we have a reprieve from our destruction to return to God and His Holy Ways. Will we take advantage of this to turn our society back to God and away from wickedness and evil before it is too late?
